The Fulton Elks will launch the spring carnival season with their 60th Annual May Day Celebration and Bike Giveaway on May 4 and 5.
The play runs for a second and final weekend at 8 p.m. April 28, and at 2 p.m. April 29 in Tyler Hall’s Waterman Theatre.
Mother’s Day weekend will be an extra special one at the Fulton Speedway for the area Girl Scouts as they will have a meet and greet with Fulton’s two female Sportsman Modified drivers, Katelyn Kane and Beth Schneider.
The Oswego US Coast Guard Auxiliary will be offering two boating safety courses. One on May 5 at Fulton Municipal Building, 141 S. First St., Fulton. And, one on May 19 at Sandy Pond Sportsman Association, 3201 County Route 15, Sandy Creek.
SUNY Oswego studio art students will appear at an opening reception from 2 to 4 p.m. May 5, at the SUNY Oswego Metro Center in Syracuse for the free public opening reception of an exhibition titled “Simultaneous Contrast.”
Assemblyman Will Barclay said he was pleased to be a part of a patriotic event Monday honoring both Volney Elementary and former student and service member Eric Lockwood, Petty Officer.
The project is projected to be bid in late July or early August. Construction is anticipated to begin in September. The project will be a multi-year phased project including additions and renovations.
After playing two of the best teams in Section III, the Oswego High School varsity boys’ lacrosse team hosted Utica Proctor on Saturday. The Bucs simply overmatched the visiting team as OHS walked off with a 23-2 victory.
