“Where you have great challenges, you have great opportunity,” says Donna Fountain, who will soon become Hannibal’s Superintendent of Schools.
The challenges couldn’t be bigger in Hannibal, one of the poorest districts in the state.
That’s fine with her. Fountain says she just wants to get to Hannibal and get going.
“Arts in Motion: Heroes for the American Red Cross” will be a culminating event that will give acknowledgement to those who have been donating and raising funds during the Red Cross’s recent Hero campaign.
Mayor Tom Gillen and Second Ward Councilor Mike Myers have scheduled a Neighborhood Walk for the Second Ward on May 2. Councilors of the other wards are invited to join them, as well as Code Enforcement Director Neal Smith, Engineer/Zoning Administrator Tony Leotta and Community Development Director Mary Vanouse.
