The Oswego County Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council will honor emergency medical services providers for outstanding patient care during its fifth annual awards banquet on May 11 at Bayshore Grove, 104 Bayshore Drive, Oswego.
Following the business meeting, Oswego resident Dr. Paul Stewart will give an encore presentation of his program entitled “Restoring History and the Swits Conde Estate: An Architectural Detective Story” This lecture was presented last year with much interest.

The Oswego State softball team (13-20, 7-9 SUNYAC) continued its season trend of splitting decisions against conference competition by winning game one, 4-3, before losing game two, 2-1, at New Paltz (14-26, 6-10 SUNYAC) Saturday afternoon.
The Oswego State baseball team scored the game-winning run in the top of the sixth inning for a 3-2 victory in game one and exploded for five runs in the top of the seventh to earn a 6-2 win in game two of a doubleheader at Fredonia. Despite the wins, Oneonta wrapped up the final spot in the league playoffs by winning both games of its doubleheader.
Donna E. Kirkman, 84, a resident of Hall Road, Oswego, passed away Friday April 27, 2012, at Oswego Hospital.
