Students Engineer Machines in Second OCAY Event
Rube Goldberg, the Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist was the inspiration behind the second Oswego County Youth Academic League competition of the school year.
The Oswego Salvation Army made its monthly visit to residents at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego and the holiday season made this visit special as they not only shared some holiday music but also left residents with a Christmas gift – a cozy lap blanket to help stay warm during the winter season ahead.
The annual major research project is something that many students long remember. Teacher Sandy Brown said, “The students love this project. Several become totally immersed in it. I still see students that participated in this 10 years ago and they still remember and talk about this project.”
