Library Learning Center Offers Internet Basics Classes
The Oswego Public Library’s Library Learning Center will offer a four session Internet Basics workshop every Thursday in April from 4 to 6 p.m. This free workshop will include topics such as how to connect to the Internet, how to use a web browser, searching for information, online privacy and safety, email and social media.

Council Sets Public Hearing Regarding Swimming Pools
An amendment to the city charter would allow the city the right to enter the owner’s property to fill in or remove the abandoned swimming pool. The public hearing will be held April 8 at 7:10 p.m.

Freshman Erannan Shattuck (Syracuse, N.Y.) scored four goals, and was one of 11 different Laker players to score in the Oswego State women’s lacrosse team’s (3-2) 17-6 win over SUNY Canton (2-3) on Monday afternoon.

The February Oswego High School “Athletes of the Month” were varsity basketball player Marguerite Dillon and indoor track state runner up in the 55 meter hurdles Cory Keefe. Each received a $25 gift certificate for the Press Box in Oswego.

Lakers’ Stark named SUNY Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week
Oswego State senior Mike Stark has been named the SUNY Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week for the week ending March 24. The second baseman posted a .407 batting average over the course of seven games that saw the Lakers go 5-2, including two wins against Brockport.
