Chris Smith Appointed Plant Manager of Novelis Oswego
Novelis announced the appointment of Chris Smith as the new plant manager of its Oswego facility. A 28-year Novelis veteran, Smith’s most recent position was Global Director of Automotive Products at the company’s global headquarters in Atlanta, Ga.

Rodrigues of Oswego State voted as USCHO D-III Player of the Year for 2012-13
Senior Paul Rodrigues of Oswego State has been voted as the USCHO D-III Player of the Year for 2012-2013. Rodrigues beat out UW-Eau Claire goalie Brandon Stephenson and teammate Luke Moodie for the award.

The Florida Panthers have announced that former Oswego State men’s ice hockey player Eric Selleck has been recalled from the San Antonio Rampage (AHL) to the NHL. Selleck is believed to be the first Laker player to appear in a NHL contest.
