Oswego Girl Scouts were well represented recently at the second Camp Hollis Family Harvest Day. They sponsored a cabin and decorated it for Halloween. The girls had fun handing out candy along with Girl Scout stickers and bookmarks to all the trick-or-treaters.

The Oswego County Youth Advocate Program leaders continue to speak out regarding the proposed elimination of the program from the 2014 county budget. YAP is not a typical service and does not run the usual 9-5, they said, adding that advocates are with families anywhere from 5 – 20 hours per week depending on the needs of the family.
Lynyrd Skynyrd’s former drummer Artimus Pyle brings the “Ultimate Tribute to Ronnie Van Zant’s Lynyrd Skynyrd” to Monirae’s on November 1. It is more than just a “tribute” to Lynyrd Skynyrd, it’s a tribute to the man that defined it. Artimus Pyle has said “If it wasn’t for Ronnie, no one would know my name.”
Edward Krul, 87, a resident of Scriba, passed away on Friday October 18, 2013, at his home.
