The Team Levine Ride/Walk/Run Event takes place at Breitbeck Park Saturday and begins at 10 a.m. to benefit the Levine family of Oswego. Their son, Cooper, was recently diagnosed with ALL – Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of 18. The cost to participate is a donation to the Levine family.

An eco-friendly initiative that recycles used markers to make fuel is gaining local support as the Blue Team at the Stepping Stones Day Program recently hopped on board for the cause. Students in the program, which is collaboration between Oswego County BOCES and Hillside Children’s Center, teamed with Crayola and other schools across North America to participate in the green initiative.

Oswego DPW will be performing preventative maintenance flushing of the water distribution system on the eastside of the city starting October 28. The affected area will be south of East Utica Street to the southern city limits and from State Route 481 to the eastern city limits, starting at East Utica Street and State Route 481.
All Oswego County youth and other family members are invited to celebrate the autumn season on Oct. 19 at the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau’s Hollis Harvest.
This free event will feature games and outdoor activities from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., including fall themed games, trick-or-treating from cabin to cabin, arts and crafts, trail walks, and much more.
