The Oswego County Legislature’s Government, Courts and Consumer Affairs Committee presented Deborah West with a certificate of appreciation for her 36 years of service to the county.
The Oswego County Health Department Staff Association recently donated $650 to the Food Bank of CNY. The association raised money through gift basket raffles to make the contribution, which will be used exclusively in Oswego County.
The Oswego boys varsity volleyball team remained unbeaten, the football team gave it a solid effort while the varsity tennis team did battle against two league foes. Meanwhile, the Oswego jayvee soccer team got behind early and couldn’t make up the deficit.
At its meeting Monday night, the Common Council approved some public hearings, but not all. A proposed amendment regarding the future of billboard signs in the Port City was tabled to allow councilors to glean more information.
