This Summer – Safely Share The Road

On New York State roadways, the number of motorcycles has increased 12 percent over five years. In Jefferson, St. Lawrence and Oswego counties, motorcycle registrations in have grown by 31 percent, 21 percent and 16 percent respectively during that time period to more than 13,800. As the number of bikes on the road has increased, so has the number of accidents.

The Sandy Creek Varsity Girls’ Softball team may have lost their bid to be State Champions, but that did not dim their accomplishments in the eyes of their school, their coaches, their families and their community. Dr. Paula Banerjee, an associate professor of South and Southeast Asian studies at the University of Calcutta, was awarded the Fulbright grant by the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board to spend the coming fall semester at Oswego and the spring 2014 semester at Onondaga in Syracuse.

Kimpland has been reappointed to the Endwell United Methodist Church in Endwell, NY and will begin his ministry July 1.
