On this past Memorial Day, at Kinney Drugs in Mexico, Rachel Verdoliva and Karen Wing, Oswego AmeriCorps volunteers, organized a care package item collection drive for Operation Shoebox. This organization collects and delivers items in care packages to our service men and women overseas.

The 31st Annual Academic Awards Night was held this week at G. Ray Bodley High School. The prestigious ceremony recognized students in grades nine through twelve for outstanding scholastic achievement and excellence throughout the academic school year. Muriel A. Adams, 89, of Baldwinsville, died Thursday June 6, 2013, in St. Luke Health Services, Oswego.
Thomas M. Turner, 76, a resident of 150 E. First St., Oswego, passed away on Friday March 15, 2013, at his home.
The auditions are scheduled for June 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. and June 15 also from 6 to 8 p.m. at the New Haven Congregational Church located on Route 104 East between Oswego and Mexico.
