The Oswego Opera Theater’s board of directors announces the addition of its newest member, Clarke Warner-Long. Clarke is a native Central New Yorker. He and his wife of 34 years, Mary Anne, currently reside in Oswego County.

As Quirk’s Players of G. Ray Bodley High School presented their 2013 annual musical, “Hello, Dolly!” special recognition was bestowed upon the members of senior class who appeared in the cast, worked backstage on the tech crew and who played in the orchestra of this year’s production.

Kyle Walton and Nick Pike are cast as the battling duo in the Oswego Players’ upcoming production of “The Best Man,” written by the illustrious Gore Vidal and directed by Players’ own Bobby Fontana.

Free and open to the public, the fair and its sustainability symposium will run 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Campus Center, concurrent with Quest, the college’s annual daylong celebration of scholarly and creative activity. Koerth-Baker will make a presentation at 2 p.m. in Room 114 of the Campus Center.

Oswego County OB-GYN  is pleased to announce February Baby of the Month.
Mirembe Schewe was born to Sarah and Zechariah Schewe of Oswego and was delivered by Dr. Daniel Coty on February 5, 2013. She was born at Oswego Hospital.

Port City Roller Derby will team up with Friendly’s on April 11 for a fundraiser pairing food with the non-profit organization’s community activities. Anyone interested in supporting the fundraiser can bring the voucher to the Oswego Friendly’s and present it to the server before ordering and 15 percent of the purchase will support the roller derby league.
