Come See the Sap Run at Maple Weekend Events in Fulton, Hannibal

Syrup is at the right density and good to go!This past weekend marked the first of two Maple Weekends in Upstate New York. These are the two weekends when sap is running strongest and sugarhouses all over Oswego, Oneida, Jefferson, and Lewis counties will open their doors to the public.

Inside, visit Maple Hill Farms in Hannibal and see a gallery of photos.

And from our archives, visit the county’s two other maple farms:  Maple Hollow Farm in Hannibal, which we visited in 2010, and Red Schoolhouse Maple in Palermo, which we visited last year.

Lee White Marine Museum's 2013 History Lecture Series on April 13 at 1:30 p.m. His topic will be “Remembering United Nations Week, 1943 Oswego Celebration.”Steve Wapen will present first history lecture of 2013 on April 13 at the H. Lee White Marine Museum. The topic will be “Remembering United Nations Week, 1943 Oswego Celebration.” The program is free and open to the public. In June 1943, Oswego became the focus of international attention with the filming of the city’s United Nations Week Celebration – a full two years before the United Nations was officially created.
