Norma C. Price, 76, a resident of Oswego, passed away Sunday March 17, 2013, at Oswego Hospital.
This past weekend marked the first of two Maple Weekends in Upstate New York. These are the two weekends when sap is running strongest and sugarhouses all over Oswego, Oneida, Jefferson, and Lewis counties will open their doors to the public.

Steve Wapen will present first history lecture of 2013 on April 13 at the H. Lee White Marine Museum. The topic will be “Remembering United Nations Week, 1943 Oswego Celebration.” The program is free and open to the public. In June 1943, Oswego became the focus of international attention with the filming of the city’s United Nations Week Celebration – a full two years before the United Nations was officially created.
The Oswego State softball team (1-3) split action on Saturday with a 14-10 win over Keene State followed by a 5-0 loss to Ramapo (1-1).
Liam A. LaClaire, 2 months, of Fulton, passed away Thursday March 14, 2013.
The Oswego State baseball team (3-1) knocked out four homeruns and tallied 18 hits en route to a 16-8 win over Emory and Henry (6-11) on Friday afternoon.
