SUNY Oswego will begin using a standardized financial aid award letter for the 2013-14 academic year, as part of the SUNY system’s Smart Track campaign committing to transparency in college financing.

Five players on the Oswego State men’s basketball team (19-7) reached double figures, as the Lakers bested Brockport (15-11) in the second half en route to a 78-66 win in a State University of New York Athletic Conference Tournament Play-In game on Tuesday night in Max Ziel Gymnasium.
In a contest that saw more rebounds than points, a pair of free throws by senior Kassie Kleine (Cazenovia, N.Y.) sealed a 38-35 victory for the Oswego State women’s basketball team (18-8) over Cortland (11-14) in the first round of the State University of New York Athletic Conference Tournament Tuesday night at Max Ziel Gymnasium.
They joined with hundreds of other students, parents and school based health care representatives from across New York State to lobby on behalf of school-based health centers.
The Oswego County Health Department and SUNY Oswego health officials have located persons who had close contact with the student. Several close acquaintances were treated with preventative medication at the Mary Walker Health Center at SUNY Oswego.
The boys’ hockey team skated to the semifinals while the bowlers finished second in their class at the sectionals and the swimmers had numerous outstanding efforts in post season action. Meanwhile, the basketball teams finished the year with losses in sectional action.
To be eligible for these honors, full-time students must have successfully completed 12 or more attempted hours; and part-time students must have successfully completed 6 attempted hours.
Josephine A. Stania, 71, of Fulton, passed away Monday February 18, 2013, at Michaud Residential Health Services.
