Hawthorne Sworn In as Fulton City Court Judge

David Hawthorne was sworn in Tuesday night as Fulton’s next City Court Judge.
The swearing-in was ceremonial; Hawthorne has already begun work. He joked that the first few days had been a “trial by fire” and thanked the court staff for being patient with him.

Oswego biologist’s study suggests return of cougars to Adirondacks
In an article published Jan. 8, SUNY Oswego biology faculty member Dr. John Laundre suggests that a forest preserve in the Adirondack Mountains can accommodate the reintroduction 150 to 350 cougars, challenging previous findings.

Fulton Head Start’s Make ‘n Take night in December was fun for the whole family. Participants could make Christmas trees from construction paper, wreaths from paper plates, and decorate sugar cookies.
Local Residents Named to Cazenovia College Dean’s List
Those named to the Dean’s List have achieved a 3.5 or better grade point average for all courses attempted, and have earned 12 or more academic credits during the semester.
Oswego State women’s basketball team nips Oneonta
Kari Kipper (Sr., Loudonville, N.Y.) scored 14 of her game-high 23 points in the eight minutes to help the Oswego State women’s basketball team (10-1, 4-0 SUNYAC) hang on for a 56-52 victory at Oneonta (4-8, 1-4) Tuesday night.
