As a mother and a grandmother, I know there’s nothing better than a newborn baby. I also know that along with the excitement, comes the feeling of wanting to make sure your little one is as healthy as he or she can be.

On Monday, the 17th of February 2014, Joshua “Superman” Brown, 16, of Oswego, left us and went to Heaven to become an Angel.
The Office of Business and Community Relations-organized event raised both awareness of women’s heart health and $730. Students and employees made donations to guess the capacity of a sweetheart chocolate jar, made contributions to wear jeans for the day and received heart health information.
Nelson J. DiGregorio Jr., 63, of Mannsville and formerly of Oswego, died Tuesday morning February 18, 2014, at the Rome Center Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Creativity, science, technology and computer programming were all part of construction of Lego kits at the Fitzhugh Park Elementary School. The students not only built creatures, but also programmed them by using computer technology.
