With the Kartway’s pit area still saturated from driving rains one week ago, and a high percentage of heavy rain forecast between 7-8 tonight, Kartway officials have decided to cancel tonight’s program, postponing the point opener until May 2.

The 33rd Annual Memorial Day Salute Committee recently announced the winners of the Poster Contest held to create a patriotic poster in keeping with “Showing Gratitude To Our Veterans.” Taking first place as the winner of this year’s poster contest is Ashley Marlatt. United Way of Greater Oswego County’s Stone Soup Too luncheon, buoyed by a $500 donation from the Fulton Lions Club, raised $951 and collected several bins of food to fill the shelves of local food pantries and help them to meet the increasing demand for food subsidy in Oswego County.
The Spring Rummage Sale at the Minetto United Methodist Church will be on May 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on May 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 3 will be $3 a bag day. There will also be a bake sale and luncheon on May 2
SUNY Oswego’s spring Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts exhibitions will open May 2 with a free public reception from 5 to 7 p.m. in Tyler Art Gallery. The reception in Tyler Hall for the students eligible for BFA degrees at Commencement will coincide with pre-exhibition festivities for students displaying works in the BA exhibition in the gallery.
