The premiere this year was “Backjack Dice and the Diamond Heist.” A Las Vegas comedian Blackjack Dice becomes an undercover spy to stem the theft of a valuable diamond by the villain Helmut Schweihund and his dastardly “Ze Piggies.”
Wednesday at 9 a.m., the Cleveland Elementary principal Mike Smolnik did a Polar Bear Plunge into Oneida Lake. This was part of a challenge to raise items for the North Shore food pantry that is run out of the Cleveland Elementary School.
There were plenty of reasons to celebrate at Fairgrieve Elementary School on Thursday as 22 students earned recognition for their good behavior and the glee club performed a song. During the school’s Morning Express program the fourth-grade glee club sang “From the Inside Out,” which underscored the importance of self-control, April’s Virtue of the Month.

At about 3:37 a.m. today (April 24), members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, NOCA Ambulance, Altmar Fire Department and Williamstown Fire Department responded to State Route 13 in the town of Albion, near Austin Road, for a single-car motor vehicle crash. The driver reportedly died at the scene.
The overnight package will be one of the featured door prizes at the raffle drawing event on May 31. In addition to the many prize giveaways, the “Bundle of Bucks” Raffle drawing will pay cash prizes totaling up to $25,000 when all tickets are sold.
