Advanced SUNY Oswego students in both graphic arts and fiction writing classes have joined forces to produce “Graphic Flash 3,” an exhibition opening with a free public reception from 2 to 4 p.m. April 26, at Oswego State downtown, corner of West First and Bridge streets in Oswego.
Wake Up Oswego: Oswego Speedway Roars to Life with Open Practice Saturday Afternoon
The 2014 racing season marks the 64th consecutive season of racing operation at Oswego Speedway, but before the season officially goes green on May 3, the annual open test and tune practice session will take place this Saturday from 1-5 p.m. The open practice session is open to all divisions competing at Oswego Speedway during the 2014 racing season.

April Is Fair Housing Month In Oswego
Mayor Tom Gillen signed a proclamation on March 24 declaring April 2014 to be Fair Housing Month in the city of Oswego. Mayor Gillen asked the people of the city to reaffirm the commitment to fair housing opportunities for all people, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, family status or handicap.
Bowen’s Corners Church Planning Rummage, Bake Sale
Bowen’s Corners United Methodist Church is preparing for its annual Spring Rummage Sale and Bake Sale. The event will be held May 2 and 3 at the church, which is located at 758 State Route 176, just west of Fulton.
Oswego Council Committee Revisits OFD Budget, Rental Inspection Fee Proposal
On the agenda for Monday night’s Administrative Services Committee agenda further discussion on the Oswego Fire Department’s operational study and continued discussion regarding a proposed increase to the city’s rental inspection fees were two separate items. But as the discussion wore on, the dialogues overlapped. No action was taken on either issue. Both are likely to return to the council floor for more public debate.
