The Firebird Concert Chorus performed seven songs, with the final number, “The Argument,” bringing the audience to its feet. Divided between male singers and females, the vocalists sang about the dynamic between the genders and the sources of contention that arise.
Oswego Health is celebrating its fifth anniversary of introducing urgent care services to the Fulton community. The Oswego Health facility, now known as the Fulton Medical Center, has provided urgent care services to more than 116,000 individuals since its opening in late April 2009.
In an effort to encourage a love of reading in our youth the Oswego County Youth Bureau and the Fulton Rotary clubs are hosting a Children’s Book Drive in support of the Literacy Coalition of Oswego County. They are currently collecting donations of new and gently used books with titles of interest to toddlers through teens.

University Police at SUNY Oswego charged Marie Demby, 22, with fourth-degree grand larceny Wednesday evening. A student at SUNY Oswego, Demby is accused of stealing a Macintosh laptop computer from another student at 5:45 p.m. April 14 in the college’s Penfield Library.

City of Fulton residents got their first peak at the proposed ALDI Food Store layout during the Common Council public hearing Tuesday as councilors approved a special permit to use the former Nestle’s site as a grocery store.
“Nestle’s is a great spot,” one resident said. “I would love to see the eyesore gone. Nestle’s isn’t going to reopen. We’ve got to get rid of it. When you come in to town you’re going to see a nice new grocery store, and that’s nothing but positive.”
Veteran continuing education administrator Jill Pippin has joined SUNY Oswego as dean of extended learning. Oswego’s Division of Extended Learning serves a wide array of part-time students and working adults interested in pursuing degrees, career-specific coursework and professional development opportunities in Oswego, Syracuse and Phoenix and online.
