National Grid was a “Making a Difference” sponsor for the 2014 Retro Bowl fundraiser for Oswego County Opportunities. “We greatly appreciate this generous, continued support and partnership with National Grid,” said Diane Cooper-Currier, OCO executive director.

Happy faces, good food, and cherished companionship lit up the dining room during the Morningstar Residential Care Center’s Married Couples Luncheon.  The event is a new edition to the growing list of activities available to the facilities’ residents.

Army Reserve Pvt. David J. Evans has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is a 2010 graduate of Paul V. Moore High School, Central Square.

A tradition of excellence continues for the Phoenix Central School District. The district’s percussion ensemble captured first place in the New York State Percussion Circuit Championships on April 6. The 22-member state champion group consists of students in grades eight through twelve who are more than just musicians.

The Oswego County Health Department offers a variety of services to all residents of Oswego County, including preventive health services, certified home health care, long-term home health care, certified hospice, and a maternal and child health program.

Twenty students were selected from the Fulton Junior High School to participate in the Oswego County Choral festival, held recently at APW High School.

Dental Assisting students at Oswego County BOCES traded in their medical scrubs for pajamas to support Paige’s Butterfly Run and the children fighting cancer at the Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital.
