Fulton Speedway ‘Highbank Holdup’ Becomes A Two-Day Event

Fans and teams will have to wait a couple of extra weeks this year for the much-anticipated Brewerton Speedway season to get under way. The longer than expected unseasonable weather has forced the season opener to be pushed back until night, May 2. The April 15 test and tune has been rescheduled to April 29 at 6:30 p.m. However, Fulton Speedway will pick up the slack by expanding the April 26 “Highbank Holdup” to a two-day event.

Phoenix Percussion Ensemble Claims State Championship

A tradition of excellence continues for the Phoenix Central School District. The district’s percussion ensemble captured first place in the New York State Percussion Circuit Championships on April 6. The 22-member state champion group consists of students in grades eight through twelve who are more than just musicians.
