Two Pulaski-based physicians, known for the compassionate quality care they provide their patients, were presented the Rural Practitioners of the Year award during a new provider welcome reception.
Jay Chapman, MD, and his wife, Patricia (Pat) Ledden Chapman, MD, provide care at Oswego County Health Services Inc., located on Delano Street in Pulaski.
The Oswego High School Top 100 students were honored for the twenty-fifth consecutive year. For a quarter of a century, the Oswego Rotary Club has presented recognition to the Oswego High School academic elite. Nearly 400 people packed the Oswego High School Dining Hall for the annual “Top 100” dinner.
Starting July 1, the Oswego Public Library will begin its summer hours. The library will not be open on Sundays from July 1 through August 31.

In an effort to help protect people in Central New York from the deadly EEE virus, State Senator Patty Ritchie has teamed up with the Oswego County Department of Health and SUNY Oswego to create an educational video to teach the public about the dangers of EEE.
Summer classes are now forming for a series of classes with Bonnie McClellan. No experience is required for these classes. Students will complete a painting during the class as the instructor paints alongside, step by step teaching brush strokes and techniques.
Mexico resident Brittany Lighthall was one of 734 students to graduate from Messiah College on May 17 during the College’s annual commencement. Lighthall graduated magna cum laude with a degree in accounting.
The 2014 Free Summer Concert Series starts June 26 at the Bullhead Point Pavilion, West Broadway (Route 3 West) with the Fulton Community Band starting at 7 p.m.
