Through a collaborative project with Oswego Economic Development Corps, Oswego County Opportunities, Catholic Charities and the Oswego County Department of Social Services, free financial literacy courses are being offered to help individuals in our community to better understand and improve their finances.

It does not seem to make sense. Questions immediately come to mind. What are the children running from? Where are they running to? Where are their mothers and fathers?
“The unique focus of this training is to bring area resources together with state and federal partners to review accepted practices for interoperable communications,” Oswego County E-911 Director Michael Allen said. “It focuses on the collaboration between various governments and agencies working together to ensure the flow of communication in the event of an emergency.”

The Fitzhugh Park Elementary School “Crafting for the Cure” proved to be a tremendous success. Students at the Oswego school gathered after school to design and construct a variety of craft items that culminated with a generous donation of over $1,000 to the Golisano Children’s Hospital and Oswego Oncology.
