The Oswego Public Library’s Library Learning Center will offer a four-part Introduction to Computers workshop on November 5, 12, 19 and 26. Each class is free and runs from 2 to 4 p.m.
Each month, the Fulton Rotary Club hosts two students from the Fulton high school for lunch and a short program. The students this month were MaKenna Cealie and Brett Campolieta.

Starting on Halloween night, SUNY Oswego’s theatre and music departments will present six stagings of the classic campy musical comedy “The Rocky Horror Show.” Curtain time will be 7:30 p.m. on three Fridays and Saturdays — Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, Nov. 7 and 8, and Nov. 14 and 15 — in the college’s Hewitt Union ballroom. The performance is suggested for ages 16 and over.
Anyone looking to use public space or services in the future had better make sure their bills are paid up. Everybody that comes in with a request to use public space or any city services should show proof that their taxes are current, the First Ward Councilor proposed.
Mary R. (Prue) Abare, of Phoenix, passed away on Friday October 17, 2014, at Upstate University Hospital, Community Campus, in the town of Onondaga, NY.
Fulton Lions Past President Frank Badagnani and his wife, Fran, visited the Oct. 16 club meeting to share photos and stories about their recent adventure at Makutsi Safari Springs Game Reserve in South Africa. Makutsi is a privately owned game reserve in South Africa close to both the Kruger National Park and the Hoedspruit Airport, Frank Badagnani explained.
On October 31, the students within the Fulton City School District in grades UPK – 12 will have an early dismissal. Grades 7 – 12 will dismiss at 10:30 a.m. and morning Pre K – 6 will dismiss at 11:15 a.m. There will be no afternoon Pre-K classes.
New chapter books have arrived at the Oswego Public Library in time for fall weekends and school vacations. Oswego is the first library in the North Country Library System, ncls.org, to get these titles!
The annual payments under the town’s PILOT program with the Metropolitan Water Board end this year, but the development realized in the Town of Oswego since the installation of such water service has, since its initiation, provided many new taxpayers, both individuals and businesses, to shoulder our burden of annual municipal expenses. The town board has decided to make up for the loss of the PILOT revenue over two years.
