Prize Winners Come from Near and Far to Enter Oswego County Tourism Contest
Prize winners from as far away as North Carolina were recently chosen to receive prizes donated by local charter captains and snowmobile clubs in a promotional contest organized by the county Department of Community Development, Tourism and Planning. The “Visit Oswego County” contest was held for several months this summer at the Gateway Visitor Center on I-81 south of Binghamton.
Professional Women Host Holiday Party
The Oswego Association of Business and Professional Women hosted its annual holiday party at Vona’s in Oswego. The Snow-Belters, an all-men a capela barbershop choral group, and Santa Claus, brought the holiday spirit in fine style.

Porky and Buddy Pet Health – What Can Be Done For Unattended Chained Dog?
My neighbor down the road has a big dog that looks like some kind of shepherd mix. He keeps him tied out beside his house ALL the time. That means 24/7. He has a dog house and he goes in there when it’s really awful out but mostly he just sits there in the yard. I called the dog control officer for my town and she said there is nothing she can do as long as the dog house is adequate and it is.
OHS Interact Club Donates To Victory Center
The Oswego High School Interact Club recently collected and donated more than 200 cold weather items of clothing for the Victory Transformation Center. Items including coats, hats, mittens, scarves, and gloves, will be provided to members of the local community that are in need. Interact Club is affiliated with Rotary International and seeks to promote community service and pride among high school students.
