Oswego County Comets’ Food Drive Scheduled

At its November monthly meeting, the Oswego County Comets Motorcycle Riding Club met to gear up for the holidays. The Comets will again be giving gift cards at Christmas to families in our local area in need of a little assistance during the holidays. In addition, we will once again hold our annual canned food drive.

Author team pens new book sharing the history of Pulaski

The newest pictorial history published by Arcadia Publishing and authored by Lawrence Petry and the Pulaski Historical Society is titled Pulaski and the Town of Richland. It’s set to release on December 15. The book boasts more than 200 images depicting scenes of days gone by.

Morningstar Holds Thanksgiving Celebration

Residents at Morningstar Residential Care were recently treated to a special harvest dinner as part of Morningstar’s Thanksgiving celebration. The dinner was one of several Thanksgiving themed events on the residents’ activity schedule.

Junior Archery Returns To Pathfinder Fish and Game Club

Junior archery instruction is back at Pathfinder Fish and Game Club, 116 Crescent Drive. Instruction will begin on January 8, 2015, from 6 – 8 p.m. and continues for eight weeks.

Tarandi Foundation Gives $25k To Support Oswego Bookmobile

Thousands of Oswego County youth will continue to have access to books over the summer and avoid the summer setback in their learning, thanks to the generous support of the Tarandi Foundation. The Tarandi Foundation recently donated $25,000 to support the Oswego Bookmobile, which currently distributes approximately 5,000 books to 2,000 children in Oswego every summer.

Oswego Speedway’s Shampine Memorial to Re-Air Tonight on MAVTV

Oswego Speedway and its headline Novelis Supermodified division will return to the primetime spotlight tonight (Dec. 4) on MAVTV’s Speed Sport, as May’s Jim Shampine Memorial will re-air at 7 p.m.
