The Oswego Children’s Theater’s Teen Ensemble will present a performance of its award-winning production of Thornton Wilder’s classic play “Our Town” 7 p.m. on April 25 at the New Haven Congregation Church.
On April 25, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Licatese Chiropractic will host a special patient appreciation day in support of Youth Programming at the Oswego YMCA. Dr. Anthony Licatese, Dr. Ryan Barker and Dr. Beth J. Dubois will offer chiropractic treatments for current and former patients, as well as examinations for new patients for $20 at their office at 55 E. Bridge St. Participants may walk in or call the office at 342-6300 to schedule an appointment.
The United Way of Greater Oswego County’s Salute to Leadership Giving and Volunteers Reception held recently was a celebration of many sorts. The reception, which combined the agency’ annual meeting with the leadership reception, gave members of the United Way’s campaign cabinet and board of directors a chance to personally thank individuals that contribute to the impact of the United Way within the community.

For nearly a year, Pulaski High School science teacher Jamie Hefti has been a member of a prestigious group of New York state educators dedicated to sharing ideas and experiences to better science, technology, engineering and math instruction.
Members of the cast of the upcoming production of “Of Mice and Men” are busy rehearsing for the late April opening of the play. Under the direction of Bobby Fontana, the cast has been hard at work preparing the drama for Oswego audiences. Cast in the leads as the two drifters, George and Lennie are Knathan MacKenzie-Roy and Nick Pike, respectively.
Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District welcomed six new members to the National Junior Honor Society recently. The traditional candle lighting service was followed by Lorraine Sampson (a current NJHS member) who sang “I Was Here” by Beyonce Knowles.
Farmers will learn how to connect with customers and potential customers online by improving their farms web presence. There will be two workshops offered, in the morning we’ll be covering how to build and launch a farm website, and in the afternoon we’ll discuss using social media platforms to promote a farm operation.
Parents should know that they can refuse to have their children take the state tests, he told the school board Tuesday night. Some NYS Regents have also spoken out against the testing procedure and how teachers are evaluated, he added.
