Boating Safely Class Scheduled
The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 24 Oswego, is offering a Boating Safely class on May 16 at the Sandy Pond Sportsman Association, 3201 County Route 15, Sandy Creek from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Tasty burgers, golden fries and ice cream was the order of the day as residents from Morningstar Residential Care Center enjoyed a lunch outing to McDonald’s. The lunch outing was one of several that Morningstar residents will have the chance to enjoy throughout the spring and summer.
Locals can find placemats designed by Kenney Middle School students at Kim’s Village Café in Hannibal. Art teacher Hollie House initiated a contest for the design of the placemats.

With May comes the much anticipated colors of spring; bright, beautiful flowers and gardens. “After our awful winter, it’s nice to see color. Even just green!” said Cindy Paine, who owns Oliver Paine Greenhouses with her husband, Oliver. Local greenhouses and gardens are preparing for the warm weather that makes it possible to grow flowers, vegetables and herbs.
The Oswego Speedway Eagles Fan Club, a volunteer non-profit organization formed several years ago with the sole purpose and intent of supporting drivers and owners that compete at Oswego Speedway, is excited to continue the Kids Bike Giveaway and the Chris Nelson State Farm Insurance Hotspot programs in 2015.
