Swingin’ singer Tia Brazda’s sassy songs, pin-up girl style and slick jumpin’ jive will knock your bobby socks off. With one foot planted in the golden era of jazz and the other in contemporary production style, Brazda elegantly segues from saucy to sophisticated with ease on her debut album Bandshell. Brazda will perform with a six-piece band at Oswego Harborfest this weekend – taking the stage at 3:30 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

There are so many places in New York State that it is impossible to visit all the great sites. We have been exploring the state for years and are still amazed at the new places we discover. A good way to plan an adventure is to travel one of the state’s Scenic Byways. The Seaway Trail is a National Byway that extends from the Pennsylvania border to the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation which is part of the bi-nation Akwesasne Mohawk Reservation. It would take days to explore the entire length of the Seaway Trail so it is best to break it up into segments.

Child Hit By Truck, Hospitalized

At about 12:41 p.m. today (July 24), members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office responded to County Route 15 near Van Auken Road in the town of Boylston for a motor vehicle accident involving a bicyclist. The investigation revealed a child was struck by a 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck while riding his bicycle westerly on CR 15. The child was transported to Upstate Hospital, Syracuse, with life-threatening injuries, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
