On various days this summer, and into this month, Ted Panayotoff, of the Oswego Lighthouse Committee, leads a group on the approximately 1.5-mile jaunt by boat from the Maritime Museum out to Oswego’s iconic West Pierhead Lighthouse. Ultimately, the plan is to not only save the landmark, but open it up to visitors. They began interior restorations, using volunteers, in 2013.

The Friends of History In Fulton, N. Y., Inc., will hold a chicken barbecue at the Pavilion on Bullhead Point, Route 3 West, Fulton, on October 4, from 11:30 a.m. until sold out.

State Police in Lysander are investigating a 3-car crash that occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, at the intersection of John Glenn Blvd. and Buckley Road in the town of Clay. An Oswego County teen suffered minor injuries, police said.
