We want to remind dog owners of the New York statute regarding dog houses. The name of the statute is Agriculture & Markets Law Section 353B. It mandates that dogs left outside in inclement weather, (which includes not only cold but also heat, rain, ice, and wind), have a minimum standard of housing. The law takes into account the breed and condition of the dog.

The United Way of Greater Oswego County invites community members to join them for the 10th Anniversary Celebration of its annual Stone Soup Luncheon. This year’s luncheon will be held at 11:30 am on November 12 at St. Joseph’s Parish Center, West First Street in Oswego.
While the 2015 election seemed uneventful for Fulton voters, the results are in for the contested races in city council and legislature. Mayor Ronald Woodward Sr. ran uncontested as did three incumbent council seats in the first ward, fourth ward and sixth ward. However, the second ward, third ward and fifth ward saw one incumbent and five all new candidates running for their council seat.
