On Thursday, December 10, investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force arrested James A. Capozzi, 49, of 13 Ellen St., Fulton and Melissa S. Ives, 37, of 9 N. Fourth St., Fulton. The arrests were based on a Drug Task Force investigation into the possession and sales of heroin within the city of Fulton. Further charges against Capozzi and Ives for possession with intent and sale of heroin are pending at this time.
Oswego County presented a proclamation designating November as Runaway Prevention Month to representatives from local youth services agencies.
The Sandy Creek Elementary School will conduct walk-in Pre-Kindergarten registration for the 2016-2017 school year on February 3 and 4 from 1 to 6 p.m. in the elementary office area.

Frank I. Basile, 90, of Cato, passed away peacefully on Friday December 11, 2015, after a brief stay at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego.
Christine A. Simmons, 55, of Mexico, passed away on Sunday December 13, 2015, at Oswego Hospital.
A variety of bands and musicians will perform on Wednesday from 5-10 p.m. at The American Foundry, 246 W. Seneca St., for an all-star evening of live music to benefit the Toy Drive for Toys for Tots of Oswego County.
Taxpayers if you weren’t in attendance Thursday December 10th at the Oswego County Budget meeting you missed legislators crying like babies. During the meeting the minority caucus asked for several cuts to the budget in an effort to save the taxpayers money.
Earlier tonight, I was sitting here listening to some Christmas music, like most of us normally do around this time of year, when the song “Mary Did You Know” came across the radio. There is a particular line in the song, that I found a little disturbing, and even a bit offensive.
