Oswego Professor Edits Open SUNY Textbook on Literacy Education

Kristen Munger, associate dean of the SUNY Oswego School of Education, has edited and co-authored a new Open SUNY textbook on research-driven literacy teaching practices. “Steps for Success: Crossing the Bridge Between Literacy Research and Practice” recently became the college’s first contribution to the open-access library of State University-published textbooks.

Generous, Healthy Hearts at Stepping Stones Day Program

A lesson in having a generous heart that’s also healthy recently culminated for students at the Fourth Street School with a physical education celebration. Students of the Stepping Stones Day Program crushed their $200 Jump Rope for Heart goal, after having collected about $500 for the American Heart Association.

The Blue Team is at it again, vying for another national milk carton contest award. About five months after students in Robyn Yorker’s Stepping Stones Day Program classroom won a $1,000 prize for a milk carton sculpture contest in the fall, they have entered into the spring Carton2Garden milk carton contest.
