Sideris Piano Studio Recital Set
Students from The Sideris Piano Studio will present their annual recital on Sunday, June 12, at The Church of the Resurrection, 120 W. Fifth St. The 3 p.m. program will begin with a tribute to Annelies Marie Frank (Anne Frank) who would have celebrated her 87th birthday on June 12.

County Committee Eyes Possible County-Wide Fire District
There is no state law on the books that allow a county-wide fire district, committee chair Legislator Frank Castiglia said. “Our mission is to explore the pros and cons of creating a county-wide fire district in Oswego County,” Castiglia told Oswego County Today. “If the results are not in favor of creating a county-wide fire district at such time our mission will end.”

Angela Galvin Wins SUNY Chancellor’s Award at Oswego
Angela Galvin, senior secretary and office manager for the SUNY Oswego Division of Extended Learning, will receive the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Classified Service. Jill Pippin, dean of extended learning, nominated Galvin for the award, which is bestowed by the SUNY system.
