Just a few days into the academic unit, the fourth graders have worked with native symbols to create stories, studied agricultural facts and learned about the native nations that make up the Iroquois League, also known as the Six Nations.
On Wednesday (October 5), at about 11:50 p.m., 22-year-old Estevan L Gonzalez of Oswego, was observed by patrol officers and identified as a possible suspect in recent reported burglary cases. As police approached Gonzalez, he reportedly fled on foot. Gonzalez was stopped by police near the intersection of West Fifth Street and Niagara streets.
This is a reminder that the city of Fulton has announced the examination for Police Officer which will be held on November 19. The last filing date for the exam is October 14.

Fulton Community Theatre will hold open auditions for the 15th edition of its very popular “An Evening on Broadway” dinner theatre cabaret. Auditions will be held on October 15 and 16 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the home of FCT’s Artistic Director, Michael A. Bolio, 692 Maple Ave, Fulton.
In its 12th year at SUNY Oswego, the project is part of an annual statewide community-service project by Student-Athlete Advisory Council chapters at some SUNY Athletic Conference colleges. SAAC’s mission is to generate a student-athlete voice among Oswego’s intercollegiate teams and to enhance school spirit within athletics.

CNY Arts Center announces a busy schedule with a season of art classes at the new CNY Arts Center Downtown Studio. The community Arts Center is expanding its programming to offer art activities for all ages in a variety of options and opportunities.
Linda Tyrell of Harbor Towne Gifts in Oswego presented Oswego Hospital Auxiliary President Julie Burns with a donation of women’s accessories for the auxiliary’s Annual Fall Bazaar, which will be held October 12 and 13 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day in the hospital lobby.
