Millard Hawk Primary School’s new principal, Amanda Viel, has been hard at work continuing collaborative efforts with staff members and students to maintain a positive environment, reflective of the building’s status as a National School of Character.
Oswego Health joined a number of area health care providers as it participated in Huhtamaki’s Employee Health Fair. The event took place in the fitness center at Huhtamaki’s Fulton plant and offered Huhtamaki employees a wealth of information on healthcare.
A year-long celebration of the Tony Awards comes to a close with CNY Arts Center’s Dessert Theater October 15 at 8 p.m. In an evening of luscious desserts and entertainment the cast will perform Broadway songs from Tony Award winning musicals.

The Central Square School District homecoming parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 14. During this time, County Route 12 from Paul V. Moore High School to US Route 11, to the Central Square Post Office and Hillcrest Drive, will be closed due to the parade traffic.
In the campus-community tradition that has marked Tyler Hall’s 48-year history, “The Wizard of Oz” will include area schoolchildren as munchkins as it previews at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 20, and runs at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 21, 27 and 28, with matinees at 3 p.m. on two Saturdays, Oct. 22 and 29.
Danielle Mather, a 2011 graduate of Oswego High School, and a May 2015 graduate of Gannon University with a BS in Health Sciences has graduated with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies in August 2016 from Gannon University.
The Oswego County Legislature marked the county’s 200th anniversary and honored its heritage as a half-shire county during its August meeting in Pulaski.
The Oswego Sunrise Rotary Club recently welcomed Laura Lloyd, a coordinator with Person to Person: Citizen Advocacy. It’s a local non-profit organization committed to promoting advocacy for and protection of persons with developmental disabilities throughout Central New York.
Noah Daniels was born in Oswego Hospital on Sept. 29, 2016, at 8:18 a.m.
