Timothy Conners of Fulton was honored with Ithaca College’s Peggy R. Williams Award for Academic and Community Leadership, an award recognizing students who excel academically, perform service to the college community and nation, and represent an exemplary level of accomplishment.
Fulton shut out Oswego, 2-0, in the championship game. Earlier in the tournament, Fulton’s Kyle Hood scored his first-ever goal. He was congratulated by both teams as well as all the coaches and fans.
The SUNY Oswego planetarium will present “The Calendar,” exploring how solar and lunar happenings relate to time on Earth, at 7 p.m. each Sunday during February. Host Dr. John Zielinski of Oswego’s physics faculty will examine the development of the modern solar calendar, the Gregorian Calendar.
Stage director Paul McKinney has announced his cast for the Oswego Players’ 2017 opening production of “Last of the Red Hot Lovers.” The cast includes Steve Standish, Tammy Wilkinson, Cassie Sough and Inez Parker.
Joseph Saraceni, an experienced water treatment professional, explained to the Rotarians how and where we have hard water in Central New York, how it effects our lives and why treating our water is helpful to our lives and our homes.
“Winona Forest is known for its deep snowfalls and winter wonderland appearance, and the Winona Stone Wall has evolved into one of the Northeast’s premier snowshoe events,” said Matt Westerlund, president of Winona Forest Recreation Association. “Shoers can choose from a 5K citizens distance, where they can race, run, or walk with friends, or the 15K championship course.”
