Supermodified Racing’s Triple Crown Opens on Saturday at Sandusky Speedway

The Triple Crown of Supermodified racing officially opens Saturday at Ohio’s Sandusky Speedway with the running of the annual ISMA Supermodified Hy-Miler Nationals 100 as a part of the Shea Concrete Triple Crown Championship Series presented by ASI Racewear. Consisting of Sandusky’s Hy-Miler, Oswego Speedway’s Budweiser International Classic 200, and New Hampshire’s Star Speedway Classic, the Triple Crown is rich in history and tradition, dating back to 1966 when all three races were first run in the same season.

Harmful Algal Blooms Info at NYS Parks Alerts Dog Owners to Potential Risk

New York Sea Grant and New York State Parks have partnered to educate dog owners this summer by providing copies of the Dogs and Harmful Algal Blooms fact sheet and brochure developed by New York Sea Grant at several State Parks. Harmful algal blooms, HABs, are a result of toxins produced by some cyanobacteria, also known as blue-green algae.

Oswego’s Wireless Technology Draws SUNY, Research Foundation Investment

SUNY Oswego recently received notice of an award from the SUNY Technology Accelerator Fund to advance the commercial readiness of a novel device that will enable fast and secure transfer of wireless data. Jointly funded by the State University of New York and the Research Foundation for SUNY, the TAF investment targets critical research and development milestones — such as feasibility studies, prototyping and testing — that demonstrate an idea or innovation has commercial potential.
