Oswego Players’ director Pablo I. Mendoza has announced the cast for the upcoming production of Neil Simon’s comedy “The Sunshine Boys.” Taking on the lead characters will be Matthew Fleming and Don DelPriore. Other members of the cast include Jenn Snow, Marianne Natoli, Alexis Hartle, Stephanie Johnson and Paul McKinney.
The outing was one of several off-site activities that Morningstar Residential Care Center provides for its residents.
Hannah Gardner of Mexico graduated May 2017 from the State University of New York College of Technology at Delhi with an associate’s degree in Nursing.

Each time The Butler Did It Players performs the Murder Mystery Dinner Theater, they donate a portion of the proceeds from their photo booth to a local charity. For their September 30 show at The Kallet Theater, they have chosen to donate the proceeds to the Salmon River Hockey Association.
The Oswego school board and audience members at Tuesday’s meeting were treated to a tour of the section of Leighton Elementary that will soon be home to the district offices. The northeast wing of the school is currently undergoing a renaissance from elementary classrooms to administrative offices and meeting space. “The main entrance will be on the north end of that wing,” Superintendent Dr. Dean Goewey said. “The main entrance faces Liberty Street.” The offices will be ready by the opening of the 2017-18 school year, he added optimistically.
The investigation has revealed, at approximately 12:45 p.m., a 2016 Chrysler Town & Country minivan, operated by Wendy L. Murray, 44, from Cicero, was traveling northbound on River Road in the town of Lysander when she approached a pedestrian walking on the east shoulder of River Road. The pedestrian ran directly into the path of the van, police said.
The Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office announced this afternoon (Aug. 1) that the NYS Parole Board has again denied parole for William LeVea, who killed Christopher Spack in a violent DWI crash after chasing and ramming Spack’s truck many times on the evening of November 20, 2009. The family of Chris Spack are relieved that the board once again denied parole to this violent killer, Assistant District Attorney Diane Adsit said.
