Planetarium’s March Shows To Explore ‘A Trillion Planets’

“Having already discovered over 3,000 exoplanets around other stars, astronomers now believe the stars of the Milky Way galaxy could have about a trillion planets,” said the show’s host, planetarium director Scott Roby of Oswego’s physics faculty, who will explore other known planetary systems using 3D models in the facility’s updated software. “We are on the verge of finding twins of Earth for the first time!”

Fulton Issues Drinking Water Warning, Boil Water Advisory for Specific Location

Due to a 16th water main break near Canalview Mall on State Route 481 the water pressure at your home or business has been dramatically reduced and you probably have low pressure or no water at the present time. Therefore, the City of Fulton is issuing this precautionary boil water advisory to those affected on Rte. 481 between East Broadway and Utica streets and two buildings on Academy Street. Mayor Barlow proposes stricter property maintenance rules in Oswego

Mayor Billy Barlow announced today (Feb. 15) a proposed local law he will bring to the Oswego Common Council for consideration. He proposes to aggressively increase the enforcement, fines and penalties for property maintenance issues such as tall grass, un-shoveled sidewalks, exposed garbage and the tidiness of property visible from city streets. He will also request funding for an additional code enforcer position in the code enforcement department.
