Sophia Giovannetti Earns Degree From The University of Vermont
Sophia Giovannetti of Fulton graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics Nutrition & Food Sciences during commencement ceremonies on May 20 at the University of Vermont.
This Saturday, June 2, the winged warriors of the Patriot Sprint Tour will invade the Fulton Speedway on Penn Power Group night at the speedway. Joining the Patriot Sprint Tour for a night of speed will be the Tracey Road Equipment DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, SUNY Canton DIRTcar Sportsman, Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux RUSH Late Models and the E&V Energy Novice Sportsman.
SUNY Oswego’s Business Resource Center will host a small business training class for those interested in expanding or starting a small business in Oswego County. Classes will be held June 11 through June 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. and June 16 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the SUNY Oswego Business Resource Center, 121 E. First St., Oswego.
This year, the Port City has entered into an agreement with Onondaga County for purchasing services. According to Mayor Billy Barlow, the pact requires Oswego to make two updates to its purchasing policy. One relates to water meters. The other one deals with maintenance and safety.
Some Mexico Middle School students are getting a jumpstart on potential future career opportunities one hands-on learning experience at a time. Eighth graders enrolled in the Exploratory Occupations class are nearing the completion of their eighth and final unit of the 2017-18 school year.
