On Friday (August 24) at approximately 9:44 p.m., the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office responded to an ATV accident on County Route 2, approximately two miles west of County Route 17, in the town of Redfield. The operator and sole passenger was identified as 52-year-old Diane L. Graham of Richland.

I knew that Harden Furniture Company in McConnellsville was in the process of being sold and thought maybe they would have some great deals in their showroom. The internet said that the company was open so John and I decided to check it out. The factory was open but only operating on a limited basis but they hoped the changeover would be completed in a couple weeks and then they would be back in operation. However, it was not a lost day. On the way back, just before we entered Camden, we saw a sign for Forest Park.

On Thursday, Aug. 23, the New York State Health Department confirmed three new EEE positive mosquito cases, bringing the number of EEE positive mosquito cases this summer in Oswego County to nine. In addition, the state reported that one sample of mosquitoes tested positive for West Nile virus.

Pair Facing Several Drug Charges

On Thursday investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force, with the assistance of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Unit, executed a narcotics related search warrant at 196 Gardenier Road in the town of Oswego. As a result, approximately 14.5 grams of crack cocaine and 9 Suboxone strips were seized, police said.
