Troopers Investigating Fatal Crash in Oswego County

UPDATE: State Police have identified the victim as 77-year-old Thomas Vedder of Bernards Bay. On Friday, February 22, at 10:30 p.m., State Trooper Nathan Horner was on patrol and traveling northbound on County Route 37 when he observed a man lying in the northbound lane of the roadway. The name of the decedent is being withheld until next of kin can be notified. The investigation is continuing.

County Residents Should Prepare For Potential Emergencies This Weekend

With a high wind event forecast for Sunday, Feb. 24, Oswego County Director of Emergency Management Dale A. Currier, CEM, urges people to prepare for potential emergency conditions and monitor the weather this weekend. The National Weather Service – Buffalo Forecast Office has issued a high wind warning that is in effect from 10 a.m. Sunday to 10 a.m. Monday.
