CNY Arts Center announces an Arts and Crafts Fair to be held September 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 121 Cayuga St. in Fulton. The event, organized by Mary Simmons, is to benefit programming and continued renovations to the new Community Arts Center.

H. Lee White Maritime Museum curator Michael Pittavino of Oswego served as lead designer of the Great New York State Fair Maritime Exhibit for 2019. The exhibit features more than 14 recreational boats spanning the decades from 1913 to current-model boats representing modern hull and propulsion design in a dry-land mock marina setting.

Stuff-a-Bus Distribution Event Supports Hundreds of Mexico Students
Hundreds of Mexico Academy and Central Schools students received backpacks and supplies for the upcoming school year from the annual Stuff-a-Bus campaign distribution event. Mexico’s event, held Aug. 20, saw 348 students walk away with supplies for the new school year.

Theater Arts Youth Academy Students Take Part In Merry Go Round Program
Gradually, over a period of 15 minutes or so, the first two rows of seats were filled with enthusiastic Oswego Players’ Theater Arts Youth Academy students. This was the long awaited day they would be traveling by bus to Auburn to participate in the Merry Go Round Theatre’s All Access Program.
