Community members are preventing type 2 diabetes together with the PreventT2 lifestyle change program offered by Oswego Health and the Oswego County Health Department. Guided by trained lifestyle coaches, groups of participants are learning the skills they need to make lasting changes such as losing a modest amount of weight, being more physically active, and managing stress.

Aerial Spraying Postponed to Monday, Aug. 19
Aerial spraying of the Toad Harbor – Big Bay Swamp area in Oswego County is cancelled this evening, Sunday, Aug. 18, due to weather conditions. Weather permitting, aerial spraying will take place Monday, Aug. 19, between 6 and 9 p.m.

Stuff A Bus Program Benefits Hundreds Of County Students
In an effort to ensure every child is prepared for school, the United Way of Greater Oswego County held its annual “Stuff a Bus” campaign at different bus locations around the county. The school supplies will now be divided among the nine districts in the coming days.
