Oswego, NY – The Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County invites you to join them in raising awareness of their efforts to combat and prevent child abuse in Oswego County by taking part in the second Annual 5K Fun Walk / Run to Prevent Child Abuse.
Sponsored and coordinated by the SUNY Oswego Jewish Student Union/Hillel, the non-competitive event will be held April 28 beginning at 1:30 p.m.
The 5K Walk/Run, which will be held rain or shine, begins at the lower level of the SUNY Oswego Campus Center and follows a route through the SUNY Oswego Campus.
Participants can walk or run at their own pace.
Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. at the Campus Center.
There is a $5 registration fee and the first 100 participants will receive a free T-shirt.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County.
Free parking for participants will be available in Lot 18.
A non-profit organization, the CAC served more than 380 children last year. Working hand-in-hand with local law enforcement, prosecution, child protective services, medical providers, therapy providers, and victim advocacy professionals in Oswego County, the CAC strives to protect and serve children that are victims of sexual and physical abuse.
