Wray Receives City Recognition

FULTON, NY – Fulton Mayor Ronald Woodward recently presented a Mayoral Proclamation of Honor to Paula Wray, who retired as head of the Fulton Housing Authority.

The proclamation read:paula

Whereas, Paula Wray joined the Fulton Housing Authority in January 1991 in the capacity of Senior Account Clerk; and

Whereas, she was promoted to Executive Director in 1998 for the Fulton Housing Authority where she managed a 246 unit apartment complex; and

Whereas, Paula was involved in the privatization of a section of Pathfinder courts from 2002 through 2005 into a Tax Credit Property named Gilberts Groves; and

Whereas, she also worked for the Fulton School District and the City of Fulton’s Chamberlain’s Office from July 1986 to December 1990 previous to the Fulton Housing Authority as an Accounting Clerk; and

Whereas, Paula and her husband, Jim, owned and ran Jim’s Breakfast House for a number of years; and

Whereas, she is an active walker with the Syracuse YMCA Folksmarch and an avid card player with the “Widows”; and

Whereas, she is an active member of the Prince of Peace Church and worked as a snack bar volunteer at A. L. Lee Memorial Hospital through the church.

Now Therefore, I, Ronald L. Woodward, Sr., Mayor of the City of Fulton, on behalf of the Common Council, Paula’s family and friends and the residents of Fulton, do hereby wish to express our gratitude for Paula’s service to her community as well as wish her a well-deserved , happy and healthy retirement.
