Lion Art Elliott, executive director of the Finger Lakes Region Lions Hearing Foundation, Inc. (FLRLHF), spoke at the April 22 meeting of the Fulton Lions Club. The FLRLHF collects used hearing aids, pays to refurbish them, and donates them to the hearing impaired. The foundation also pays for repairs and hearing testing, and hearing aid evaluations as needed for people who qualify. Since 1989, more than 1,600 people have been assisted by FLRLHF. They can be contacted at (607) 398-7216. Fulton Lions President David Guyer, left, presents a $500 donation to Elliot for the foundation. Joining them is Fulton Lion Jesse Yardley, chairman of the club’s Sight & Hearing committee. The Fulton Lions Club, also know for their Lions Loot Sweepstakes and Labor Day Duck Derby, provides financial assistance for those in need of eyeglasses, eye exams and hearing aids to residents in the Greater Fulton area.
