Some of the students who participated in the Oswego County Library Council and Assemblyman Will Barclay’s summer reading programs were on-hand for prize drawings at the Literacy Coalition of Oswego County’s recent Dream Big – Read event at Fairgrieve School, Fulton. The students are gathered around one of two sets of 3-ft. tall wooden letters that spell R-E-A-D and were created by the CNY Arts Center and built by
Oswego County BOCES students. Each letter is brightly painted with messages and symbols about the joys of reading. The letters were designed and painted by artist Ken Blount. CNY Arts Center artists Bonnie McClellan, Leslie Paice and Diamond Chapman collaborated with Blount on painting.
