UPDATE:  Reported missing child, Gavin Brown, was found walking on State Route 3 in the Town of Volney.

FULTON, NY – On Thursday (March 10), about 7 p.m. a 13-year-old boy, named Gavin T. Brown, left his residence.

He was gone overnight and he was not present in school today (March 11), according to Fulton Police.

His family is very concerned because he has type 1 diabetes and has not taken his medication.

The boy briefly called his residence last night, but then hung up.

Fulton Police have checked several residences, however, Gavin is still missing.

He does not meet the requirements for an Amber Alert, due to the fact he is not suspected to be abducted, police explained.

He is described as a white male, 4’ 7”, brown hair, blue eyes, camouflage hoodie, dark sweat pants, red sneakers.

Anyone with information about Gavin’s whereabouts is asked to call the City of Fulton Police Department at 598-4504.

  1. Said don’t understand why there isn’t a alert alert out on this young boy this is a child were talking about

  2. I think any missing child should qualify for an Amber Alert … if he called home briefly and then hung up, who is to say he’s not in danger? … praying for his safe return …

  3. the police did not find him walking….i was right there when it happened next to volney school…i rounded the curve heading east at volney school and i saw a woman pulling that boy by the arm across the road to her car on the side of the road…i had to slow down…a state trooper was at the entrance of the school driveway and she was waving him back to her car

  4. Debbie Please Stop Seriously IT could have been Fulton or Oswego or anything it doesn’t matter
